For my project I mainly used simple beats that were pre-made, and synthesizers so that it would sound better. i didn't use any actual instruments. i liked the sound of my beats but they didn't flow as smoothly as i had hoped. it was a little weird when they transitioned into the different patterns, but i liked it anyway.
In your post you wrote that you didn't like your transition, but I thought it worked well because tt was in a similar style to the new pattern. Try to make your posts more descriptive about a style or a feel that you were aiming for. Also talk about why you used specific sounds. Overall your project is good.
